Looking absolutely fabulous this month is the Water Garden. The area is awash with colour. From the vivid reds, yellows and oranges of the candelabra primulas to the pure whites of the arum lily's through to the powder blues and purples of the iris, there is something for every taste.

Adding a Mediterranean touch are the wonderful architectural blue spires of Echium pininana and the beautiful cerise pink flowered domes of Geranium maderense.

One final flowering gem not to be missed is Davidia incolucrata var. vilmoriniana (The Handkerchief Tree). This fantastic tree takes centre stage at this time of the year and is covered in a mass of creamy white bracts that as the nickname suggests hangs down like millions of handkerchiefs.
